Our school

　　Shunde Polytechnic came into existence in March 1999. It is a full-time general higher institution invested and sponsored by Shunde Government and approved by the National Ministry of Education. 　The new college campus covers 120 hectares in extent with a first-stage construction area of 250,000 square meters. At present, 247 teachers work on campus, among whom there are 70 professors and associate professors and 105 lecturers. 5 of them have obtained doctorate degrees and 60 of them have obtained master’s degrees.　　
The college consists of 9 departments-the Department of Electro-mechanical Engineering, the Department of Electronic Engineering, the Department of Computer Technology, the Department of Medicine & Nursing, the Department of Economics & Management, the Department of Humanities & Social Sciences, the Department of Arts & Design, the Department of Foreign Language, and the Department of Education. 　
It actively pushes forward its education reform, innovation and exploration, and pioneers its way of development as a vocational-technical college. 　
The college greatly pushes forward the construction of its disciplines and majors, its teaching environment and college culture, investing much capital in building up a number of key majors such as the Refrigeration The college is well on its way to becoming an engine for the promotion of productivity and social progress, and a cradle for pumping out top-quality students for profession.
